Shel (they/them) Black & Chinese gender expansive writer, healer and dreamer based on Kumeyaay land (San Diego) with community on Piscataway land (D.C). In their poetry, they explore themes of ancestry, chosen family and embodied dreaming. Shel started the Dream Seeding Writing Circle for BIPOC in 2021 as a way for creatives to virtually connect and integrate somatic techniques into their writing practice. Shel founded their apothecary, Creations by Florea, in 2017 and continues to offer small batch herbal remedies to their immediate communities and beyond.
